Since 2009, Heliwest has been operating the HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) for BHP Billiton in Australia’s North West, in a contract that sees the aircraft based in the remote Pilbara region, on readiness for air ambulance and search and rescue missions on a 24-hour, 365-day basis.
