The ST 80 model, evolution of a classic Flovex exchanger of proven production, is a device that combines requirements for thermal efficiency , compactness and extreme reliability .
Thanks to the new sealing system, patented, with the interposition of an elastic element, the ST 80 exchanger guarantees exceptional resistance to thermal shocks and water hammers. Particular attention was paid to the problem of corrosion with industrial waters.
The ST 80 exchanger has AISI 316 stainless steel tube plates in a single body with a light alloy head. The water inlet and reversal covers are made of reinforced plastic resins, resistant to corrosion and pressure or, on request, in aluminum. Available in two versions: "A" for medium-low flow rates and "B" for high flow rates.
To guarantee a high production standard, each exchanger undergoes a "quality control" and a pressure test before being placed on the market.
Feature
Straight, high-performance, finned, straight finned tubes are used on the tube plates. Maximum strength even in the presence of vibrations and water hammers.
Molded in "Anticorodal" light alloy, they include both AISI 316 stainless steel tube plates and SAE Ø 11/2 "oil-side connections, sized to reduce pressure drops. The flange surface with through holes allows the possibility of connection with SAE flanges. GAS threaded connections or optional SAE counterflanges are also available.
The casing consists of an extruded, calibrated and light alloy tube, joined to the head by means of an "OR" gasket permanently tightened in the exchanger.
The front and rear covers fixed to the heads are made of plastic material, reinforced with pressure and corrosion resistant glass fiber. The water connections have Ø 1/2 ”BSP connections with molded steel threaded sleeves with covers. We recommend the use, during assembly, of fittings with cylindrical threads and flat gaskets, or sealants such as "Loctite". Maximum applicable tightening torque = 8 (Kgm). Light alloy lids with Ø 3/4 ”BSP connections available on request.
Made of sheet steel with collar holes. They adapt with strict tolerance to both the pipes and the jacket, to obtain maximum thermal efficiency.
Made of pressed steel sheet, they can be positioned on the heads in different orientations, to facilitate the installation of the appliance.
The WE1 model is an extractable tube bundle exchanger, with double sealing gasket on the floating plate and sight ring to ensure the maximum guarantee of complete separation of the two fluids, even in the event of seals breaking.
As for the EM series, each model has a type "A" (low flow) and type "B" (high flow) version. The range is divided into multiple variants that allow you to solve any fluid and flow problem, even with high exchange potential.
The same basic components of the EM series are used. Tube bundle, deflectors, plates and covers have the same characteristics and the same alternatives as the materials.
Flovex also manufactures only single or double waterway versions .
Feature
The Ef dimension is valid for UNI - SO.ANSI - SAE 3000 flat flanges. For UNI WNANSI collar flanges, add 20 mm to the Ef dimension.
For the 8 ″ series both drainage and 1/2 ″ GAS vent are provided.
For sizes 5 ÷ 6 the supports are fixed to the covers and can be oriented in various ways. For the 8 ″ series they are welded to the casing with the same dimensions as the EM series.
For marine versions only (Alumbrass B111 - C687 beam) two zinc anodes are available for inspection, Ø 3/8 ″ on the rear cover.
These small size floating head exchangers are designed to solve high temperature problems, where the simplest construction with U-pipes (KE) cannot be used and when you are in a situation characterized by low flow rates.
The BP series is the most economical and reliable solution for those who want to condition fluids at high temperatures in efficiency and safety. The floating head configuration allows to absorb thermal expansion since the beam is free to expand independently of the main body.
Feature
Given the particular application in high temperature situations, a construction with straight pipes that can be easily cleaned was chosen , as traditional "U" beams are quickly unusable due to limescale deposits.
The products in this series are made with different configurations for materials and types of pipes used:
Particularly suitable for condensing and cooling fluids and gases in countercurrent, the fixed tube bundle exchangers minimize the pressure drop of the fluid in the tubes, thanks also to the absence of restrictions and curves. Easy in-line installation to be connected directly to the existing piping.
Basic execution with threaded connections , carbon steel body and stainless steel tube bundle (304L and 316L), different materials and flanged connections available on request.
The FC series models have been designed for tank mounting as well as for external mounting. The advantage of these exchangers is the high absorption capacity of thermal stress .
In FC exchangers the tube bundle is in fact made of a high efficiency copper finned coil tube wound in a spiral. Precisely this particular type of construction, in addition to having extremely low water consumption , allows use in cases of high thermal stress, thanks to the freely expandable beam.
Feature
FC finned coil heat exchangers are available in 4 distinct versions according to the configuration of the finned spiral:
The exchangers of this series are equipped with a "U" tube bundle that can freely expand. They are therefore particularly suitable for cooling fluids at high temperatures (steam, diathermic oil, superheated water, etc.).
There are two versions of this product, one with a fixed beam and one with a removable beam that allows you to intervene with maximum ease for periodic maintenance. Available with carbon and stainless steel tube bundle (304L and 316L).
The RSA series air / oil exchangers are made by using a robust aluminum radiant mass with passageways equipped with turbulators to increase thermal efficiency. The side profile, without connections , allows easier assembly and requires less frontal dimensions. The noise is contained in a max value of 76 dB (A) / 1m.
The fixing feet are removable and adjustable in different positions with the interposition of anti-vibration rubber elements. A careful choice of the shape of the suction conveyor allows you to make the most of the air flow. Special executions are provided with explosion-proof motors.
The heat exchangers of the LT series, with forced air cooling, are a valid alternative to the use of traditional shell and tube exchangers, if you do not have water or want to avoid consumption.
Particular attention has been paid to the study of the various components to achieve high thermal efficiency and robustness. For total reliability, each appliance is tested at 30 Bar.
In order to optimize yields with a correct pressure drop value, two versions of equipment are offered:
The head losses indicated in the enclosed performance diagrams are calculated for oil with viscosity 4 ° E at 50 ° C. With more viscous oil or with lower operating temperatures there are substantial variations in the values.
To avoid damage to the system in particular during cold start, it is advisable to exclude the exchanger from the circuit by inserting a by-pass calibrated at a pressure of 4-5 Bar.
Feature
To guarantee high operating pressures, resistance to vibrations and high heat exchange, each LT air exchanger uses a radiant pack composed of continuous aluminum fins, fixed to the copper pipes by mechanical expansion.
The manifolds are sized to allow the oil to pass at the expected flow rate. Each appliance is equipped with a fixed calibration thermostat , to be connected to the motor, for inserting the fan at a temperature of 40-48 ° C.
Electric motor and fan are designed for 100% operation and with a particularly low noise level.
Each appliance is guaranteed against manufacturing or material defects for a period of 12 months . No guarantee against corrosion, excessive vibrations, water hammer, fouling and incorrect assembly.
