Diamond Offshore was established in the 1950s and has been serving the offshore drilling industry since the very beginning. The company went ahead to acquire multiple rigs and companies and has now become a world leader in offshore drilling. It provides contract drilling services to the energy industry all around the world. It has a total fleet of 16 offshore drilling rigs, consisting of 12 semisubmersibles and four dynamically positioned drillships.
