Situated in India’s Telangana, the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) is a premier research institute which operates under the umbrella of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Established in 1961, NGRI strives to carry forward research in multidisciplinary areas of the extremely complicated structure and processes of the Earth system and its extensively interlinked subsystems.
NGRI’s structural framework incorporates seven major R&D Groups and twenty-one Activities, including expertise in numerous geophysical, geochemical, geological techniques.
