Asahi/America pioneered the market for thermoplastic valves in the United States and Latin America during a time when there was no viable alternative to metal for piping systems. Asahi/America began by promoting valves from a company known as Asahi Yukizai Corporation and piping through AGRU GmbH in Austria. Through distributor and end-user education and acceptance, the use of thermoplastics grew. Asahi/America now manufactures and distributes a full selection of corrosion resistant thermoplastic fluid flow solutions including: valves, actuators, single and double-wall piping systems, wet process solutions and specialty components through a network of over 600 distributors throughout the US and Latin America.

Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers are designed for external use and manufactured completely from Moldflon™-PFA, -ECTFE and- PVDF as well as from Moldflon™-PE or -PP. They are corrosion-free and resistant against almost all chemicals. for reliable cooling, heating or condensing of pure or high-purity media. This ensures maximum process safety for the application. all the welded joints for the flow of inner media are fabricated based on a non-contact IR butt welding prodess which is particular important when using pure and high purity media. dead spots where for example bacterial contaminiation may occur, are ruled out by this welding process.
All the IR welds are computer controlled and the welding parameters of these joints are documented. Furthermore, the inside and outside of all the Heat Exchangers are inidividually pressure tested. shell and Tube Heat Exchangers from ElringKlinger Engineered Plastics are typically manufactured with one inner and one outer circuit and fabricated in a completely closed welded design. alternatively detachable fixed or loose flange joints can be incorporated that open on one or both sides of the Heat exchanger if, for example, replacement of complete tube bundlers or cleaning of the individual tubes is required.
